100 Day Lifestyle Challenge

Today is the 26th day of the hundred days blogging challenge and it has been going so far so good and as I have mentioned in the power of projects and a gamification article, I will be launching a new challenge, a new project for me to address my lifestyle and health issues. This 100 Day Lifestyle challenge is very generic and anyone can take it up and tweak according to your requirements.

Healthy Body

As part of this challenge I plan to convert my lifestyle into a Healthy lifestyle and as part of it, I plan to eat healthy stay healthy and have an active life so whenever possible I will make more physical activities. I plan to have a minimum of 15-minute workout regimen every day including 5 minutes of stretching, 5 minutes of cardio aerobics and 5 minutes of weight training followed by 15 minutes of meditation. Play outdoor games whenever possible.

The idea is to make it a habit to work out every day and I hope at the end of this 100 day Lifestyle challenge this 15 minute regimen will get increased to 30 minutes or 45 minutes or even an hour workout and as I said the Idea is to make it a habit so that I can continue it all my life.


Eat Healthy

Apart from the workout regimen I plan to eat healthy and also to take 3 meals per day on time without missing even for a single day and also I’m planning to drink minimum of 2 litres of water per day and avoid carbonated drinks and also to reduce the intake of rice and replace it with the healthy alternative such as Nuts, fruits and fibre rich products.

Sound Sleep and A Sound Mind

I am also planning to get a minimum of 7 hours of sleep every night preferably between 10 p.m to 5 a.m and also read a book for at least 30 minutes a day. I am a voracious reader I read a lot of blog posts and articles and news all the time but still, I have to read a book on any topic for at least 30 minutes a day.

There are a lot of good free Kindle Ebooks available on Amazon and also even a few good books are available for a low cost as low as 9 Rupees and also the Kindle ebook prices are lesser than the printed books so it’s a very good deal and in fact I plan to launch a website to give the details of the free Kindle ebooks as well. Also, play a game of chess every day with either a person or a computer.

Friends and family time

The Plan is to spend time with friends and family every day and I plan to make it a point to call at least one of them be it my parents, sister, or friends.

Me time

Plan to spend at least 15 minutes every night to reflect on the day and identifying the positives and areas to improve and plan ahead for the next day.
